What a swing setup must contain before it leaves the desk

Notebook and printed pages on a wooden study desk

At Service Pilotlane Institute a setup is paperwork, not a hunch. Students who arrive from social feeds often bring a screenshot and a story. We ask them to fill five fields on a card before anyone talks about entries.

Bias is the weekly or daily swing you will not fight. Location is the area where you are willing to work — a prior supply pocket, a failed break, a range edge — not ‘somewhere in the middle’. Trigger is the event that starts the trade: a close back through a level, a pin that holds, a reclaim of a broken swing. Invalidation is a price, not a mood. Hold is the condition that keeps you from taking the first green candle off the table.

If a field is blank, the card is incomplete. Incomplete cards are useful as homework; they are not useful as live plans. The classroom exists to make that distinction boring and repeatable.

None of this is a promise of profit. Markets gap, news lands, and liquidity thins around Thai public holidays. The card is a training device so you can review your own work without rewriting history.
