Reviewing setup cards without rewriting history

The most expensive habit we see in private reviews is the pencil that returns after the move. A trigger that was ‘a close above 1.0850’ becomes ‘I was basically long from the open’. Invalidation migrates a few pips to make a loss look unlucky rather than planned.

We date-stamp cards. Once the session starts, the original five fields are frozen. A second colour is allowed only for what actually happened: filled or not, stopped or held, and one sentence on whether the location was even reached.

This is not moral theatre. It is how you collect a sample of your own setups instead of a sample of your memory. Memory prefers winners and prefers to have been ‘almost right’.
